Right angles and 'U's with no seams?
That's right. Since a KreteKraft design is installed in place, there is no shape that causes the countertop visual flow to be interrupted. That's almost impossible to do with granite for instance as the veining directions and texture of the rock will change as the countertop direction changes requiring cut corners. So the look created is that your entire countertop was cut from one *very* large piece of material. No seams, and no visual breaks in flow.
Of course you may choose some points of contrast if you wish, and that's just the point. You have the option to do exactly what you want, without worrying about material limitations, and how that will impact the cost. Imagine trying to find a slab fifteen feet long and twelve feet wide to cut an 'L' from! You would pay for 180 square feet of the slab, use less than 60 square feet. The costs not only from the pocketbook, but from an environmental impact viewpoint are staggering. We can provide the same look (and better really since no part of the 'slab' is just 'ok' looking) at no additional cost!
So go crazy! Get that round or triangular island, extend the countertop all the way around to give yourself the extra workspace you've always wanted. Go ahead and notch the counter for a comfortable prep area. Put a curve on that breakfast bar. Spice it up!
